Choreographer – Youth Show
We are seeking a creative, energetic, and inspiring Choreographer to join our team for an exciting youth production.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and has a passion for creating engaging, age-appropriate choreography that helps build confidence, teamwork, and performance skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and teach choreography suited to the age and ability of the cast
- Work closely with the Director and Production Team to support the overall vision of the show
- Lead rehearsals in a positive, encouraging, and professional manner
- Adapt choreography to suit different skill levels and group sizes
- Support performers with timing, spacing, and performance quality
- Attend rehearsals, production camps, and show performances as required
About You
- Experience in choreography and/or dance teaching
- Confidence working with children and young people
- Creative, patient, and enthusiastic
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable and well organised
- Experience in youth theatre is desirable but not essential
- Able to work well in a collaborative environment

Location:
Most rehearsals will be held at Belmont Scout Hall, with a handful production camps at Brookfield Scout Camp and rehearsals and performances at Lower Hutt Little Theatre

Timeline:
- Join the creative team from now
- Performing art camp in August 2026
- Rehearsals and performances between April and August 2027
