Well, we have the perfect opportunity for you.
Hutt Valley Gang Show provides the opportunity for member of Scouting and Guiding who are 10.5+ years old a chance to join the world of theatre.
In 2023, Hutt Valley Gang Show are looking for a cast of 75 to go on a Time warp.
Time Warp is a show of the past where you are taken on an adventure through past songs, dances, and skits. It’s about remembering the past and looking to the future. Spiral into the past to learn how great Gang Show was and is.
HVGS 2023 Performance Dates
HVGS 2023 will be performed at the Lower Hutt Little Theatre, Laings Rd, Lower Hutt at the following times:
- Monday 12 June: 7.30pm
- Tuesday 13th June: 7.30pm
- Wednesday 14th June: 7.30pm
- Thursday 15th June: 7.30pm
- Friday 16th June: 7.30pm
- Saturday 17th June: 2pm and 7.30pm
When are auditions:
Saturday 11th Feb & Sunday 12th Feb 2023
Where are auditions:
Belmont Scout Hall (Belmont Domain, Norfolk Street, Belmont, Lower Hutt)
How to audition:
On Monday 23rd Jan 2023 an audition registration form will be released here.
Once you have registered, our admin team will be in touch with a date and time.
What if I can’t audition on those dates? – well don’t fear we have ways in which we can accommodate auditions under special circumstances. Please fill out the form and select the option that you can’t do those dates and we will be in contact.
What happens at auditions?
When you turn up on the day and time you are allocated, you will come to the registration area to sign in.
Once signed in, in a group with a chaperone, you will then rotate around 3 bases learning a song, some movement, and a drama skit. Once you have learnt all 3 then you will be taken into the main audition room where you will perform what you have learnt.
What if I am nervous about auditioning?
Its normal to feel nervous.
As a team we are not looking for perfection we are looking for what you can do at your best.
We have a saying in the theatre – if you can’t make it, fake it. Show us your smile, do your best and most of all HAVE FUN.
After auditions
Once you have auditioned, the production team will collaborate and put together a cast.
Approximately a week after auditions, we will be in touch with the outcome.
